attended our chili cook-off... a big Thank you from all of us here at a Heavenly Horse Haven. It was a beautiful day.The band Mark Houston and the working men were Great as usual. The chili contest was fun. Jack Harrison took first place with his "sweet ass kickin' chili". Cindy Hughes took second place with her "Tex Mex Turkey chili". Michelle Mason took third place with her "Kickin' Chicken" chili. Sheryl Lynde wanted to give her support as soon as she heard of our event. You may recall that Sheryl is a certified John Lyons trainer and she donated $100 in training/lessons for our raffle. Thank you Sheryl! She also thrilled the crowd with a demonstration showcasing her brand of horsemanship. Truly amazing. Of course we just couldn't resist challenging her on our obstacle course and yes she Won! Gina won second place riding Cinderella. It was a treat to see just how far Cinderella has come since she first arrived here starved and near death. Many thanks to all who have helped Cinderella and our other horses (or animals) like her. Your support is what makes this possible. In fact, in the spirit of Thanksgiving we feel blessed to have all of you on our team helping to save these animals. With all of your generous donations given during the chili cook-off we will be able to get all the horses and animals the vaccinations they need and help us prepare them for the winter weather approaching.

Michelle Mason was kind enough to photograph the event for us.  Be sure to check out the event photo gallery.
