Meet Masterpiece. We were contacted from several people about this horse as he had been abandoned at a boarding facility for over two years and needed a new home. He is about twenty years old and we found out later that he supposedly came from Wayne Newton's Arabian horse ranch. This poor guy has apparently spent most of his life being moved around and abandoned time after time. We went to see him and found a beautiful although very frustrated guy. The owners of the boarding facility had to keep him in a corral by himself because he didn't get along well with the other horses that where free to roam on several acres. He would spend most of the day pacing

and getting crazy watching the horses run free around him. Gina Perrin spent some time with him at the boarding facility to see if he could be handled by our facility. While we were a little skeptical about taking in what seemed like such a crazy horse, Gina felt that we could safely help him so we brought him to the ranch. He arrived very excited but Gina was able to calm him down after a few hours. While the boarding facility was able to keep up with his feed for the two years he was abandoned, his feet definitely needed attention. We were amazed when we went to work on his feet that he stood like a gentlemen and even

lifted the next foot before we needed it. Then we had to untangle his mane and tail that were like dreadlocks and he was again perfect and stood there for hours. We were told that no one had ridden him because they thought he was crazy. He seemed to be doing so well after working with him for a couple of days, Gina had to see what he would do under saddle. He stood still while she saddled him up and and to everyone’s surprise he was wonderful to ride. This horse shows signs of being trained for show and having done dressage. He seems to know it all... flying lead change
roll-overs you name it and he does it. We have since been told that he supposedly came from Wayne Newton's Arabian horse ranch. We believe he was bred and then gelded as he is a bit “high-spirited” around other horses. His one flaw is that he wants to fight with the boys and mate with the girls. Gina has worked with stallions used for breeding After we solve this problem we will put him up for adoption. In the mean time we are looking for some one that could help sponsor his care and feed.
