Our horse and animal rescue program seeks to provide a “safe haven” or sanctuary for horses and other farm animals who are at risk, neglected, abused, unwanted or otherwise in need of special care.  The purpose of this program is to save as many horses and animals as possible from the pain and suffering associated with abuse and neglect and or being sent to the slaughter house or being put “to sleep” simply because they are no longer wanted or are too expensive to keep.  This program provides an alternative to the general public when their animals are no longer wanted, needed or they simply can no longer care for them.

The origins of this program date back to 1999 when Gina Perrin saved her first rescue horse working with the Foal Quest organization.  Over the years she was able to recruit a small, dedicated group of volunteers who were able to continue this goal after the demise of Foal Quest in 2006.  Since its humble beginnings, this program has helped to save hundreds of horses that would have otherwise been destroyed.  While all of these horses have been placed into loving and caring homes, many have gone on to become top-level show horses.

This program originally began operation in Perrin’s backyard stable in Temecula, CA.  We now enjoy operating on a 5-acre ranch property in Anza, California.  This new property allows for a greater number of rescues each year with a greater quality of care.  In addition, we are now able to provide emergency boarding facilities during natural disasters such as our seasonal wildfires.
