Heavenly Horse Haven offers training and lessons to the general public. Riding lessons are mostly introductory in nature based on safe and kind “natural horsemanship” techniques suitable for beginning riders and those riders returning to horseback riding after a number of years. One exception is our “aerobic riding” class. This class requires group-riding skills and teaches riding techniques that exercise the rider and the horse, greatly benefiting both.

Our horse training is focused mostly on creating a calm and safe horse suitable for riding in the arena or on trails. Gina Perrin is currently our head trainer and oversees all of the training activities.

Lessons and/or training are mostly provided on site at our Anza ranch facility, however, we also provide private or group lessons and/or training at off site locations such as private homes or equestrian centers.

Heavenly Horse Haven offers to the general public the use of the Anza ranch facility for special events. Our goal is to provide a relaxed and “un-plugged” country experience with volunteer opportunities and supervised interaction with our rescue horses and animals. This fundraising activity also includes the use of a BBQ and picnic area, fire pit, restroom facilities, a grassy play area and a guided tour of our facility with a hands on (where possible) introduction to our rescue animals.

Optionally, we may provide for over night tent camping, games and entertainment such as Bobbing for Apples, Horse Shoes, Potato Sack Races and horse riding lessons.

This service is offered on a time available basis in that our rescue, adoption and ongoing training programs take precedence.
